First day of school

Today was the first day of school and it was definitely a rude awakening. Since I practically did not go to school for the entire second semester of my senior year ( I was "homebound" because I had to rehab my left knee for at least three hours a day) today made me remember what it was like to actually attend class and receive homework.

Once I got out of all of my classes, I had to go to the Junell Center to meet up with my teammates to fill out paper work and watch a video on banned substances. And yes it was as boring as it sounds. I pretty much fell asleep through out most of the video until I was informed that 5 Hour Energy was a banned substance. I was pretty bummed considering that I take it before every practice and every game, I guess I'm somewhat of an addict haha.

Once I was done signing my life away the team decided to go play some pick up games in the practice gym. Regardless of how tired I was, it felt great to play my first full court pick up game on my knee again. It's hard for me to imagine that only seven months ago, I was sitting in the bleachers, envious of my teammates because they were able to just run up and down the court. Therefore, I try to remind myself everytime that I'm gasping for air and telling myself to quit, that I'm lucky to even be able to stand without the aid of crutches. Well that pretty much wraps up my super exciting day haha.

Have a great week!
